COVID-19 Update
Hope Connection International is open and helping those in need. If you are interested in a support group, most of our small support groups are still meeting in person at our location, but some are "meeting" via Zoom or Google Hangouts, so you can still sign up for support groups and we will contact you with instructions and details. See Deja Vu Thrift Store for more information on donations or store purchases. Hope Connection needs monetary donations right now more than ever! Click the DONATE button to make a contribution. MAJOR GIVERS CAN ALSO GET MAJOR DEDUCTIONS
There's a tax change that allows even more charitable giving. It affects people and companies who give more than $300. If you've always wanted to give a lot of money to charity but couldn't due to tax rules, the new bill's changes to the tax law mean you can now do that. Reports about the relief bill indicate that contributors will be able to deduct 100 percent of their gift to a public charity from their 2020 adjusted gross income. For example, if you make $100,000 this year and want to give $50,000 to charity, you can deduct the full amount of your gift from your taxable income.
This deduction is only for cash gifts to a public charity. It is not available for any household items you may give to a non-profit.

❝ My participation with the Mending the Soul class changed my life. I am no longer a victim, but a strong, independent woman that can take care of myself and not be co-dependent in an unhealthy relationship. I also learned that forgiveness does not always include reconciliation with an abuser, which was freeing for me. Mending the Soul is a great support group for anyone who has experienced or witnessed any kind of abuse or trauma. This group gave me much-needed support and still gives ongoing support, if needed. Hope Connection is a great place for anyone who needs healing and support after a crisis. - Client Served - |
